The Living Archive Series

A restored newspaper of record for each American city and community that had one. Every volume in the series tells the story of a single publication — who founded it, who read it, what it witnessed, and what was lost when the presses stopped.

The series spans metropolitan dailies, frontier mining-camp weeklies, business magazines, community papers and titles from the Black press. It is written for readers researching local history, media history and the newspapers that carried it.
